East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) has an immediate opening for Nurse Practitioner/ Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialists Adult and/or Child.

Specialists (APRN/CNS), depending upon clinical specialties, who are compassionate, enthusiastic and skilled to provide office-based services at our Health Centers at 100 Bullocks Point in East Providence and 6 John Chafee Boulevard in Newport, RI. The Nurse Practitioners (APRN/CNS) would be part of our Accountable Care Organization, providing integrated services including, but not limited to: psychiatric assessment, medication evaluation and monitoring, and psycho-education.

If you have experience and competency in both age groups/populations:

Adult/Child APRN/CNS Part time position (20 hrs/wk): Competent to provide care for both adults and children. Previous experience treating adults with major psychiatric syndromes (i.e. schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders, affective disorders, anxiety disorders, dementia/delirium, grief, personality disorders, etc.), substance abuse, trauma, suicide prevention, family systems, gender identity issues, impact of medical conditions on psychiatric conditions, etc. Previous experience treating children/adolescents regarding development, family systems, substance abuse, gender identity issues, major syndromes including ADD/ADHD, conduct disorder, oppositional defiance, affective syndromes, anxiety disorders, suicide prevention, childhood abuse and neglect, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and trauma.

All positions require Rhode Island licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse/Clinical Nurse Specialist. The successful candidate will have experience in an electronic medical record (EMR), however, would receive training in EBCAP’s EMR, which is NextGen.
