Quality Improvement Specialist (EBCAP0950)

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time QI  Specialist to work in all locations.

Under the guidance of the VP of Quality and Performance Improvement, the QI specialist will be responsible for tracking and organizing quality improvement initiatives and requirements for EBCAP’s stakeholders (HRSA, BHDDH, Joint Commission, NCQA PCMH, etc.).  The QI specialist will primarily be responsible for the collection of data (i.e. internal audits, peer review, patient satisfaction, infection control reports, incidents, and complaints, etc.).  This individual will assist in resolving deficiencies that impact EBCAP’s compliance to regulatory and accreditation standards.

The QI Specialist will participate in organizational committees and/or workgroups as assigned.  Knowledge of activities, tasks, practices, deliverables, and techniques for implementing new or enhanced services/procedures/policies into a human services environment.  Actively uses experience and judgment to accomplish results.  Effectively and candidly presents ideas (with individuals and within groups) in both written and verbal formats and demonstrates active listening skills.  Actively supports the two-way flow of information, with a strong emphasis upon cooperative partnering and collaborative interactions, while respecting individuality and diversity. Uphold and ensure compliance and attention to all company policies and procedures as well as the overall mission and values of the organization.

Bachelor’s degree in related healthcare field recommended with five (5) years of related experience in the field and use of an electronic medical record required.
