Coordinator Medicare Information, Assistance & Awareness (MIAA) $1,000 Sign-on Bonus
East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Coordinator Medicare Information, Assistance & Awareness (MIAA) Coordinator, $1,000 Sign-On Bonus at our location at 100 Bullocks Point in East Providence.
MIAA provides assistance to individuals aging into, and/or who are already enrolled in the Medicare system to learn about all Medicare options and available choices. The MIAA Coordinator is responsible to organize all activities to execute the program, including scheduling and staffing Open Enrollment Events and oversight of volunteer activities. Additionally, the MIAA Coordinator will prepare and conduct workshops for program participants, attend monthly meetings provided by the Rhode Island Office of Healthy Aging, and report to grant funding agencies. The successful candidate will conduct confidential assessments of the client’s insurance needs, educate and counsel Medicare recipients regarding choices and options, and assess and screen clients to determine if they are eligible for assistance programs.
Minimum Education Requirement:
This position requires a High School diploma or equivalent. Additionally, this position requires MIAA Counselor and Health Education Leader Certification upon hire.
