East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Mental Health Care Partner for our expanding Behavioral Health Services Division at the 100 Bullocks Point location in East Providence, RI. The successful candidate will assist the emergency services team with crisis stabilization, opiate triage, coordination of MAT inductions, harm reduction education and materials.

Due to the critical nature of this position to both the community and the organization, EBCAP is offering a two-step sign on bonus totaling $2,000 for external applicants.

The Mental Health Care Partner (MHCP) will facilitate patient engagement and outreach via phone, letter, and in the community, and conduct brief treatment (motivational interviewing, behavioral activation, coaching, solution-focused treatment, psychoeducation, relapse prevention, crisis stabilization, etc.  He/She will complete ongoing assessments utilizing standardized instruments such as PHQ-9, AUDIT, CAGE, GPRA, PSC-17, etc.  The MHCP works collaboratively with the integrated care and same day access team for patient/record review.  He/She will coordinate referrals to both internal and external programs when applicable.

A Master’s Degree in a Human Services field (psychology, rehabilitation counseling, etc.) required plus one full year clinical experience  required (to be a Medicaid-eligible provider   Experience in electronic medical record (EMR) a plus, however, would receive training in EBCAP’s EMR which is NextGen. Bilingual a plus, however, not required.
