East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Nurse Practitioner/Certified Nurse Midwife who is licensed in both Family/Individual Lifespan (APRN/CNP) AND Nurse Midwifery (CNM). She/He must be compassionate and skilled to provide comprehensive services at our Health Center at 100 Bullocks Point Avenue in East Providence, RI. The Nurse Practitioner/Certified Nurse Midwife would be part of our Accountable Care Organization, providing integrated services to the residents of East Bay. EBCAP is offering a two-step sign-on bonus totaling $2,500 for external candidates.
The Nurse Practitioner/Certified Nurse Midwife works under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer and will provide all aspects of patient care including diagnosis, treatment, referral, consultation, and midwifery services for assigned clients. She/He works closely with doctors, other nurse practitioners and/or midwives, physician assistants, nurses, medical assistants, and support staff to provide high quality care through a multi-disciplinary team approach, serving as the medical home for many individuals and families. She/He may mentor NP interns as time allows.
The Nurse Practitioner/Certified Nurse Midwife must be licensed by the RI Department of Health as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a focus in Family/Individual Lifespan (APRN/CNP), as well as a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM). The successful candidate will have experience in electronic medical record (EMR), however, would receive training in EBCAP’s EMR, which is NextGen.
