The Middletown Beyond the Bell Summer Enrichment Camp is designed to keep children learning and having fun during the summer with daily recreational activities, arts and crafts, and games, and weekly special events for students who will be entering grades 1-5 in the fall 2023. The Summer Enrichment Camp will be theme based, keeping the summer fresh and exciting. The program offers recreational and thinking activities, designed to strengthen participants’ minds and bodies and keep students active and learning in the summer. Students have the opportunity to explore a variety of planned activities and special events each week. The Middletown Beyond the Bell Summer Enrichment Camp is coordinated with the Middletown Public Schools summer academic intervention program to allow students to access both services as needed.

MCOZ Camp Assistant Coordinator:
The MCOZ Camp Assistant Coordinator will assist the MCOZ Manager with managing the day to day operations of the MCOZ Camp including supporting Camp Lead Teachers and Teacher Assistants, assisting to coordinate arrival and/or dismissal, supporting lunch and recess, providing behavior support, parent contacts, daily logistics, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education Requirements:
A minimum of an Associates Degree in Education or a Human Services field and/or a combination of education and community work experience with children and youth, behavior management, program development, and recruitment.  Must be or be able to become a Notary Public to support program.

Schedule: Pre-Program:
Approximately 2 hours of pre-program training/program orientation to be held prior to program start. Program Weeks: July 10, 2023 – August 11, 2023, Monday – Friday, 7:45 am -4:15 pm, 40 hours per week.
