East Bay Community Action Program’s (EBCAP) Premier Dental Center is seeking a Full-Time or Part-Time Dental Hygienist at 19 Broadway in Newport, RI. Our mission is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible health, dental, behavioral health, and wrap-around human services to assist people to achieve their fullest potential.
The Dental Hygienist will follow through with oral hygiene procedures in accordance with treatment plans prescribed by the attending dentist. Procedures may include prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planning, debridement, supra and subgingival scaling and curettage, application of fluoride treatments, and application of protective sealants. The employee is responsible for updating the patient medical and dental history as well as working with the dentist to chart findings in the patient’s electronic dental record.
The Dental Hygienist(s) requires successful graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program and must be licensed by the RI DOH as a Dental Hygienist, and be additionally licensed in the application of local anesthesia.
Candidates must be familiar with an electronic medical record and have current Basic Life Support (BLS), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) offered by any accredited agency.
