Clinical Data Abstractor $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Clinical data abstractor for our Barrington location.  The Clinical Data Abstractor will be responsible for organizing and creating comprehensive records within EBCAP’s electronic health record of patient encounters and medical/dental/behavioral health history by abstracting specific healthcare information from both internal and external sources.  Provide clinical staff with up-to-date information to improve patient/clinical outcomes by compiling data obtained from sources such as:  Health Information Exchange (HIE), documents, faxes, paper, CD’s, Thumb drives, consolidated clinical document architecture (CCDA’s) and/or any other formats healthcare information may be received.

EBCAP is offering a two-step sign-on bonus totaling $1,000 for external applicants.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two (2) years in a clinical office is preferred with documented experience working within an electronic health record.  Excellent data entry/data extraction and communication skills required.   Experience with NextGen a plus.
