Health Information Technician $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Health Information Technician to work in our Barrington location at 2 Old County Road. The Health Information Technician safeguards and protects each patient’s right to privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to patient information in compliance with federal and state laws (ex.  42 CFR/42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, etc). Work requires independent clinical and legal/regulatory decision-making alongside the advanced technical skill to manipulate the many systems to collect, compile and release information in the most appropriate secured method possible.

EBCAP is offering a two-step sign-on bonus totaling $1,000 for external applicants.

Must have a High School Diploma or GED.  A minimum of two (2) years working in a Health Information environment with demonstrated experience working within applicable release of information laws.
