East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a part-time, 20-hour, Site Coordinator for our Community Learning Center and Out-of-School Time Programs, located at Pell Elementary School, Newport, RI.

As a member of the NFCOZ Student Supports Team, the Site Coordinator is responsible for implementing and maintaining the vision of the 21st Century Community Learning Center (CLC) initiative by coordinating programs and services at the Pell Elementary School and/or increasing access for Pell Elementary School students to high-quality, high-interest, and comprehensive academic and enrichment opportunities in the community during out-of-school time hours (OST).

Duties include planning Out-of-School Time (OST) activities, daily supervision of program participants and staff, building and maintaining collaborative relationships with school faculty, staff, and community agencies, promoting parent involvement, and supporting the developing and improving students’ social/emotional learning competencies.

Supervise students at the community sites and help support their participation in activities and will manage student needs and the logistics of the off-site program such as transportation, family communication, and partner collaboration.

The Site Coordinator is also responsible for supporting the advancement of NFCOZ initiatives and promoting the philosophy and mission of EBCAP, the NFCOZ, and the goals of the CLC and OST initiatives.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION:  A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Education or a Human Services field and at least 3 years of community work experience with school-age children and families in the areas of social/emotional learning, behavior management, program development, educational practice, family engagement, and program recruitment.
