East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) seeks a GED Instructor for a full-time, full-year position as a member of our adult education program: Education & Career Pathways.

The GED instructor will plan and deliver lessons that offer meaningful context for adult learners. In addition, they will conduct intake, orientation, and assessment of adult learners, write new curricula as needed, provide coaching to volunteer tutors and maintain records for each student. They will assist with learner goal setting and assess progress using both qualitative and quantitative methods, including CASAS. The instructor will collaborate with the Education and Career Pathways team and EBCAP case managers to ensure learners’ well-being and success.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field.
Minimum of two years of Adult Education experience
Experience working with online learners preferred
Ability to teach adult learners at multiple academic levels and motivate and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds
