East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) has an opportunity for a RI-licensed Dentist to join our Dental Clinic located at 19 Broadway in Newport, RI. The Dentist would be part of our Accountable Care Organization, providing integrated services to the residents of East Bay. Our mission is to provide high-quality, comprehensive, and accessible health, dental, behavioral health, and human services to assist people to achieve their fullest potential. EBCAP’s dental center has a designated HPSA score of 19 which is the highest in the state of Rhode Island and as such, offers very favorable consideration for dentists who look to receive the National Health Service Corp Loan repayment.
EBCAP is offering a two-step sign-on bonus totaling $5,000 for external applicants.
As a dentist with EBCAP, you can expect to see a steady flow of patients every day. Your daily procedures will include, but not limited to primary preventative services (plaque control, sealants, oral cancer screens, fluoride, etc.), secondary preventative services (temporary sedative fillings, permanent fillings, etc.), and tertiary preventative services (simple extractions, referrals to oral surgeons, and dentures, etc.).
In addition to a fixed dental clinic, we also have a thriving community based pediatric practice (staffed by our dentists on a rotating basis) which provides mobile dentistry at several sites (schools etc.) located in our service areas both in Newport County and East Providence. With spectacular coastal scenery, awe-inspiring architecture, a thriving waterfront downtown and welcoming hospitality; this is a unique opportunity to practice in a wonderful area.
In addition to required RI licensure, candidate must be familiar working with an electronic medical record, have current Basic Life Support (BLS), possess DEA registration/RI Controlled Substance Certification, have access to transportation for periodic community travel, and pass a national background criminal investigation.
