Prep Cook: The RI Community Food Bank is looking for a prep cook who would work alongside our Production Chef and would be responsible for the safe preparation of daily meals provided to Kids Cafe partner sites. Responsibilities include preparation, cooking, and packaging for delivery in a quality, timely manner. The cook is expected to follow proper kitchen procedures for safe food receiving, handling, and storage, and must practice proper cleaning, safety, and sanitation. Requirements include professional culinary experience, a current food safety certificate, a strong sense of organization and responsibility, and the ability to maintain a professional atmosphere. Position starts as soon as possible through August 31, 2021, at minimum, with potential for an extension. Daytime shift, Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 2 PM. Competitive hourly rate.
