Summary: A United Way of Rhode Island Ambassador functions as a member of the Resource Development staff during the fall workplace campaign. This is a full time, temporary position from September 7, 2021 to the end of November.

Working with a dedicated team of United Way staff, Ambassadors conduct, manage and monitor a portfolio of employee workplace campaigns and champion for maximum fundraising results so United Way can continue to make an impact in the community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Contacting and coordinating with company Campaign Leaders, supervising campaigns activities including timelines, events, presentations, reports, materials, tracking results, collecting donor details and other administrative duties.
Community outreach such as presentations to employee groups, tabling events, and overall relationship building.
Other duties include collating supporting materials and assisting team as needed.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage, organize and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
Proficiency in a Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Teams and Excel) and some database experience preferred.
Must be a fast learner (training provided).
Must have own transportation and must be able to lift packages up to 35 lbs.
Previous fundraising/sales experience a plus.
