NAACP Providence Branch
Legal Redress
The NAACP Providence Branch Legal Redress committee works to address discrimination and create reconciliation. The committee is comprised of members of the NAACP Providence Branch with support from local attorneys and citizens who are knowledgeable in many areas.
Our purpose is to address discrimination in any form in an attempt to create reconciliation. Our responsibilities include:
- Investigating cases of racism and discrimination reported to us
- Supervising all litigation in which the unit is interested
- Keeping the National Office and the Branch informed on the progress of every case
SUBMIT A COMPLAINT
If you believe that you or someone you know have experienced discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, native origin, sexual orientation or other basis, you are encouraged to submit a Complaint of Discrimination Form. While the Legal Redress Committee cannot offer legal advice, we can be partners in mediation or refer complainants to attorneys.
