The Associate Executive Assistant is assigned to the Pre-Trial Services Unit of the District Court working in the Mental Health Treatment Court and will: Interview defendants, verify background information, monitor offenders released on bail, refer offenders to community providers and make reasonable attempts to secure placement; prepare written and verbal court reports; provide information to judges; maintain consistent contact with community providers. The selected candidate will address individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and, if applicable, co-occurring substance use disorders and make appropriate referrals for treatment.
The Associate Executive Assistant shall also perform any other lateral and/or lower grade level responsibilities as assigned by the Chief Judge of the District Court or her designee.

Required Qualifications for Appointment

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors’ Degree, Master’s Degree preferred.  Must possess excellent writing, organization, and computer skills with prior work experience in the Judicial system or similar field.
